Following previous announcements regarding new anime production, it has been confirmed that a three-episode special edition of the TV anime My Happy Marriage will air in 2026. A key visual accompanies the announcement.

The visual depicts Miyo clad in a shiromuku (a traditional white wedding kimono) and Kiyoka extending an umbrella to her beneath full-bloom cherry blossoms, capturing a scene truly enveloped in “happiness.”
Takehiro Kubota will return to direct the special, continuing his role from the first and second seasons.
■ About the TV Anime “My Happy Marriage”
This unique Cinderella story weaves together themes of “love” and “supernatural abilities.” The original work is by Akumi Agitogi with illustrations by Tsukiho Tsukioka. The anime features direction by Takehiro Kubota and Masayuki Kojima, with series composition by Ami Sato. The scriptwriting team includes Ami Sato, Misato Hashiba, Fuka Ishii, and Momoka Toyoda. Shoko Yasuda handles character design, Evan Call provides the music, and Kisuke Koizumi serves as sound director. Animation production is by Kinema Citrus.

Born into a noble family, Miyo lost her biological mother at a young age and was raised under the oppression of her stepmother and stepsister. When she was finally ordered to marry, her betrothed was Kiyoka, a young soldier rumored to be cold and ruthless. He possessed such a notorious reputation that numerous previous fiancées had reportedly fled within three days. Resigning herself to likely being cut down, Miyo knocked on the Kudo family’s gate, only to be met by a strikingly beautiful man with pale features. Although he treated her harshly at their first meeting, Miyo—unable to return to her parents’ home—continued to cook for him daily, and slowly, their hearts began to connect.
The cast features Reina Ueda as Miyo Saimori, Kaito Ishikawa as Kiyoka Kudo, Ayane Sakura as Kaya Saimori, Kotaro Nishiyama as Koji Tatsuishi, Houko Kuwashima as Yurie, Hiro Shimono as Yoshito Godo, Ryohei Kimura as Arata Tsuruki, Yuuya Uchida as Naoshi Usui, Ryotaro Okiayu as Masakiyo Kudo, Kikuko Inoue as Fuyu Kudo, and Haruka Tomatsu as Kaoruko Jinouchi.
