After the death of his father—a famed “Sword Saint”—a young heir, Ark, succeeds to his family’s earldom. Convinced he’s finally free from a life of nonstop sword drills, Ark starts daydreaming about an easy, tax‑funded life of luxury. Those hopes are dashed when rival nobles, hungry for influence, engineer his downfall and have him expelled to a remote border village. Waiting there is a community made up almost entirely of people like him—men and women with complicated pasts who were cast out elsewhere. Determined to build a new kind of paradise from nothing, Ark sets out on a comeback tale of territory management and relentless turnabout.
