An anime adaptation of the villainess-themed doting rom-com Even Though I’m Timid to the Max, I Ended Up Taking My Ace Fiancé’s Bet, written by Hiro Oda with illustrations by Tsubasa.v and manga by Aji Murata, has been greenlit for television.

Pia, an ordinary graduate student, is reborn as a background “villainess” in an otome game. Waiting at the game’s climax is the notorious “condemnation event” at the graduation party—where she’s fated to have her engagement annulled and be exiled from the country. “If it means being hated by the one I love…” Resigned to her fate, the timid Pia tries to break off her engagement to Rufus, the chancellor’s son—only to ignite Rufus’s pride instead. “How about we bet on whether I’ll really break our engagement?”
Rufus proceeds to snap every doom flag standing in Pia’s way! What ending will the “wager of fate” between the weakest villainess and her strongest fiancé bring?
Miku Itō plays Pia Rockwell, and Ryōta Ōsaka plays Rufus Stan.
