The manga Does It Count If You Lose Your Virginity to an Android?, serialized in Comic Yuri Hime (Ichijinsha), will receive a TV anime adaptation in January 2026. Alongside the announcement, the cast, character designs, and staff were revealed.
Based on the manga by Yakiniku Teishoku, the story follows 28-year-old Akane Tsuda, a top performer at a major electronics manufacturer. In a drunken impulse she buys Nadeshiko—an illegally manufactured, adults-only “romance droid” whose mere possession is a serious felony. Nadeshiko keeps Akane constantly off-balance, but with her many high-spec features, Akane finds herself drawn to her all the same. The series depicts the flirty cohabitation of a lone-wolf office lady and an android—two (question mark) roommates and their “ufufu” life together.
The anime is produced by the animation label Deregyura. Neko B serves as director and series composer; character design and color design are by Mitsuru Tsukiumi; art direction by Yutaka Aota; cinematography and editing by Tomohiro Hayashi; sound direction by Fumihiko Otera; animation production by Nyan Pollution-ω-.
