A TV anime adaptation of Atekichi’s “The Strongest Job is Apparently Not Hero or a Sage, but an Appraiser (Provisional)’?”—a strongest?! yet “provisional” otherworldly adventure fantasy with illustrations by Asahi Shigaraki and manga by Mitsushi Takeda—has been greenlit. The series is slated to air from April 2026. A teaser visual, promo video, and the main cast were revealed.

One ordinary high school boy, Hibiki Manabe, is suddenly transported to a vast grassland in another world teeming with monsters. Wandering this unfamiliar fantasy realm with no idea where to go, Hibiki realizes he’s been granted the skill “Appraisal” and the job “Appraiser (Provisional)”… Provisional!? Guided by the blonde elf Emaria, whom he meets on the plains, Hibiki becomes an adventurer. Together with Claude, a beastman weakened by a curse; Lillian, a future top-tier sage; and Vene, a holy beast in the form of a white cat, he slowly grows stronger while searching for a way back home. Can he safely return to his original world—and, as the title suggests, will the day come when he truly becomes the strongest?

An elf who comes to the aid of Hibiki right after he arrives in the other world. An adventurer with the job “Spirit Archer,” she’s actually never been in a party before and secretly longs to go adventuring with companions.

A wolf beastman who wields a spear. Once a renowned warrior, he’s been weakened by a curse. Earnest and honorable, he pledges fealty to Hibiki as his knight after being saved by him.
- Lillian (CV: Ramalpha Michelle Tateyama)
A young girl who joins Hibiki’s adventuring party. She throws herself into everything she does. Though she harbors an immense, uncontrollable reservoir of magic, Hibiki’s appraisal reveals she’s a “sage in the making.”

A talking white cat who appears when the skill “Grimoire” is activated. In truth, Vene is a holy beast created by a demon god, tasked with teaching Lillian magic and helping her control it. An incorrigible foodie.
