To commemorate the television adaptation, Iwaaki provided a celebratory comment. “The concept for this story was born over forty years ago, and the art first began to take shape on paper in a small workroom more than twenty years ago,” he wrote. “Now, thanks to the efforts of so many, it is being given the breath of life through motion—an occasion I wish to celebrate with all my heart.”

Additionally, a promotional campaign is currently underway on the official TV anime X (formerly Twitter) account (@historie_off), where one lucky winner will be selected by lottery to receive an autograph board signed by Hitoshi Iwaaki.

I would like to express my gratitude to everyone involved in the production of this anime.

The concept for this story originated over forty years ago, and the drawings first began to take shape on paper in a small workroom more than twenty years ago.

Today, thanks to the hands of so many, it is being given the breath of life through motion—an occasion I wish to celebrate with all my heart.
