> “I’ll take you to the world.”
Ashito Aoi, a middle schooler living in Ehime Prefecture, is the ace of his weak local soccer club. On the day he loses his final middle school tournament, Ashito runs aggressively along the beach to vent his frustration, only to encounter a man who had been watching his match. That man—Tatsuya Fukuda—is the head coach of the youth academy for Tokyo City Esperion FC, one of the premier clubs in the J-League. Recognizing infinite potential in Ashito’s rough but unique talent, Fukuda begins to share his own ambition:
> “I have an ambition. With the club I’ve built, I will grasp the world. It won’t be a stepping stone to the rest of the world; my club *will be* the world. And the youth academy is what will shoulder that entire ambition.”
Accepting Fukuda’s invitation, Ashito resolves to travel to Tokyo to take the club’s entrance tryouts—but what awaits him?
