While fans had eagerly anticipated an announcement for a third part, the final page of Part 2 simply read: “The End. Thank you for your continued support! Please look forward to Tatsuki Fujimoto’s next work!!” No sequel was revealed. However, it was confirmed that the 24th and final collected volume of the manga will be released on June 4.

A dark hero action thriller, *Chainsaw Man* follows Denji, an impoverished young man scraping by at the very bottom of society to pay off the crushing debt left by his parents. Earning a meager living as a devil hunter alongside his canine companion, the Chainsaw Devil Pochita, Denji’s life takes a fatal turn. He forms a contract with Pochita, resurrecting as “Chainsaw Man”—a hybrid possessing the heart of a devil—and sets out to hunt the world’s monstrous threats.

The series originally launched in *Weekly Shonen Jump* in December 2018 and has since surpassed 35 million copies in cumulative circulation. Renowned for its sudden, shocking plot twists and deeply layered mysteries, the manga garnered massive popularity, notably securing the number one spot in the male demographic category of the *Kono Manga ga Sugoi!* (This Manga Is Amazing!) 2021 guidebook.

Part 1, known as the “Public Safety Arc,” concluded in the magazine’s December 14, 2020, issue before the series transitioned to the *Shonen Jump+* platform for Part 2 in July 2022. The franchise also expanded into other media, receiving a television anime adaptation that aired from October to December 2022, alongside a stage play production.

Furthermore, the theatrical film *Chainsaw Man the Movie: Reze Arc* is currently playing in cinemas and has become a massive box office hit, exceeding 10.7 billion yen in revenue. It has also been officially announced that a new anime adaptation, *Chainsaw Man: Assassin Arc*, is currently in production to serve as a direct sequel to the film.
