The TV anime *Saga of Tanya the Evil Season 2* is slated to begin broadcasting this July. Alongside this announcement, the first key visual, the first main promotional video, and additional cast members have been unveiled.
Autumn, Unified Year 1926. Lieutenant Colonel Tanya von Degurechaff is appointed commander of the newly formed Salamander Kampfgruppe, plunging her back into the brutal front lines. Though this ad-hoc battlegroup appears formidable on the surface, it is, in reality, nothing more than a ragtag assembly.
Can a war truly be fought with this?
Tanya rages against this absurd reality, but matters are only made worse by the premature arrival of the Federation’s winter. The Empire finds itself struggling in a quagmire with no way out. What every nation desires is an overwhelming victory to bring it all to an end.
Yet, no one truly understands what they are wishing for—nor what that wish actually entails.
Unable to resist the tides of war, Tanya continues to stand at the forefront of the relentless conflict.
Tomokazu Sugita will voice Mikel, and Yoko Hikasa will voice Liliya.
The original story is by Carlo Zen, with original character designs by Shinobu Shinotsuki. The anime is directed by Takayuki Yamamoto, with series composition and scripts by Kenta Ihara. Yuji Hosogoe serves as both character designer and chief animation director, while sub-character designs are handled by Hiromi Taniguchi, Takao Maki, and Shinichi Kurita. Music is composed by Shuji Katayama, Yoshikazu Iwanami is the sound director, and NUT handles the animation production.
The cast includes Aoi Yuki as Tanya, Saori Hayami as Visha, Shinichiro Miki as Rerugen, Tessho Genda as Rudersdorf, Hochu Otsuka as Zettour, Daiki Hamano as Weiss, Yusuke Kobayashi as Grantz, Jun Kasama as Koenig, Daichi Hayashi as Neumann, Tomokazu Sugita as Mikel, Toshiyuki Morikawa as William Drake, Yoko Hikasa as Liliya, and Haruka Tomatsu as Mary.
