With FLY, Attack On Titan Manga Receives Its First and Final Art Book

Information on the first and last art book for the Attack on Titan manga, including specifics about packaged goodies and a personal letter from author Hajime Isayama, was announced today.

200 pages of art from the Attack on Titan manga, including sketches, storyboards, and newly colored pages colored by the same assistant responsible for coloring pages and covers throughout the initial run of the manga, will be collected in Attack on Titan Art Book: FLY. A personal note from artist Hajime Isayama about the art book is included below.

My name is Hajime Isayama. It has been about two and a half years since I finished the serialization of “Attack on Titan.

I have decided to release a color art book. I am very honored. I am happy to have the compilation of my past work in a book.

I would like to say proudly, “I am very happy to have compiled all of my work into a book,” but in fact, I have only done line drawings for the color illustrations, and I asked a certain person to do the coloring work for me.

I am proud to say that I am known for not excelling at drawing, so there is no way I could do such a great coloring job. I believe that this work would not have been possible without the presence of the specialist who has been in charge of the coloring of “Attack on Titan” since the beginning of the serialization and has supported the serialization.

I would be happy if the color art book to be released this time focuses on those who have continued to support the series behind the scenes.

Now, I am writing a new manga for this book. It will be included in the special edition of “Attack on Titan Vol. 35” as a bonus manga. I hope you will look forward to it.

Pre-orders for the art book can be placed from now until November 30, with guaranteed delivery by April 30, 2024. Delivery of the book is contingent upon the amount of copies having been pre-ordered; any unsold copies will not be made available for resale. Extras include the supplementary manga stated in the letter, as well as drawings and copies of Eren’s Key and Mikasa’s Scarf.

The first six episodes of the last season of Attack on Titan The one-hour program The Final Chapters premiered on March 4, and the second portion is set to air in the fall of 2023. The End of Attack on Titan You can watch the whole decade-long anime series, including The Final Chapters Part One, on Crunchyroll. Here’s how Crunchyroll puts it:

Known in Japan as Shingeki no Kyojin, many years ago, the last remnants of humanity were forced to retreat behind the towering walls of a fortified city to escape the massive, man-eating Titans that roamed the land outside their fortress. Only the heroic members of the Scouting Legion dared to stray beyond the safety of the walls – but even those brave warriors seldom returned alive. Those within the city clung to the illusion of a peaceful existence until the day that dream was shattered, and their slim chance at survival was reduced to one horrifying choice: kill – or be devoured!
