Fans of the Black Clover manga were left wondering when new chapters would be published when the series said goodbye to Weekly Shonen Jump in August 2023. The manga series ended with chapter 368 and moved to a new publishing style.
Fans have been left with a sense of both exhilaration and worry by the decision, which has been ascribed to Yuki Tabata’s health problems. When the manga resumes, here is how the release schedule will look and when new chapters will be added.
The Reason for the Change
The departure from Weekly Shonen Jump was revealed to be an attempt to provide Yuki Tabata with a more manageable schedule as the series enters the highly anticipated final fight arc.
Tabata’s health suffered as a result of the demands of the weekly serialization, which often necessitated rapid turnarounds for new chapters. Jump GIGA, the magazine’s sibling provides a more flexible schedule.
Tabata said that he was optimistic about finishing the series at a rate that was healthy for him in a letter attached to Chapter 368.
Timing of Upcoming Releases
Black Clover will be available in Jump GIGA beginning with Chapter 369. A significant shift in frequency is, however, an accompanying feature of the transformation.
Unlike Weekly Shonen Jump, which releases new chapters every week, Jump GIGA only does so every three months. With this change, Tabata should have had more time to carefully create each chapter; previously, they had only been about 45 pages long.
