Today, Toei Animation and Fathom Events announced the November 8 and 9 (7 p.m. local time) dates for the two-day theatrical premiere of Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning in the United States. This new plot, starring the mature DigiDestined characters, will premiere in English dub (November 8) and Japanese with English subtitles (November 9) at 750 theaters around the country.
Tomohisa Taguchi (The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbyes), the film’s returning director, will provide a special introduction to the film for theatergoers exclusively.
In addition, the first fifty people in attendance at each show will get a free Digimon Card Game Tamer Party Pack -THE BEGINNING- ver. 2.0, which contains three of a total of fourteen cards from a special edition Digimon Card Game deck released to honor the film. Those lucky enough to receive them will be among the first fans in the United States to have these new cards when they are offered to the public in December.
Advance tickets for Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning may be purchased now at FathomEvents.com/Digimon02, where you’ll also find a full list of theaters showing the film. Tickets may also be purchased right now at any of the theaters that are showing the show.

Digimon Adventure aired on TV for the first time in 1999, and its sequel, Digimon Adventure 02, starring a new group of young actors, launched the following year. The original DigiDestined kids are back, but this time they’re 20 years old in the new movie Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning, a modern continuation of the TV series Digimon Adventure 02.
Tomohisa Taguchi helms and Akatsuki Yamatoya writes and Toei Animation produces Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning, following up on 2020’s Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution: Kizuna.
