Kingdom is a historical action manga series written and illustrated by Yasuhisa Hara. The story is set in the Warring States period of ancient China and follows the rise of Qin’s greatest general, Li Xin, and his friendship with the young king, Ying Zheng. The manga is based on real historical events and characters but with some fictional elements added.
Kingdom Season 5 Release Date
Kingdom Season 5 is the fifth installment of the anime adaptation of the manga. The season will be released in January 2024 as part of the Winter 2024 anime season. Studio Signpost will produce the season, which took over from Studio Pierrot in season 3.
The season will also have a new director, Kenichi Imaizumi, who previously worked on Reborn! and Berserk. The cast and staff from the previous seasons are expected to reprise their roles.

Kingdom Season 5 will cover the Koku You Campaign arc, which depicts the war between Qin and Zhao over the strategic hill of Koku You. Xin and his unit will join forces with Kan Ki, one of the Six Great Generals of Qin, known for his ruthless and cunning tactics. The season will also introduce new characters and enemies, such as Kei Sha, the Zhao general who leads the defense of Koku You.
Where to Watch Kingdom Season 5?
Kingdom Season 5 will be available to watch on Crunchyroll with English subtitles. Crunchyroll is the official streaming partner of the Kingdom and has all four seasons of the anime in its catalog. The episodes will be simulcast an hour after they air in Japan. The English dub of Kingdom is not yet available, but fans can hope for a future release by Funimation, which licensed the series in 2012.
