The main visual and second promotional video have been unveiled for the television anime Nihon Sangoku, which is set to premiere on April 6 on TOKYO MX, BS NTV, and other broadcasting networks.

Against a backdrop featuring a gleaming golden Japanese archipelago and a color scheme evocative of the national flag, the visual depicts the protagonist, Aoteru Misumi, striking a commanding pose.
Tatsuya Kitani’s “Hidane” (Spark) has been selected as the series’ opening theme. The newly announced voice cast features Jun Fukuyama as Yoshitsune Asama, Kazuhiro Yamaji as Mitsuhide Ryumon, Yuichi Nakamura as Yasuaki Kaku, Taihi Kimura as Fuji III, and Minami Tsuda as Ouko Wajima.
About the TV Anime Nihon Sangoku
Set in a near future where civilization has collapsed, the story follows the exploits of Aoteru Misumi, a young man striving to reunify a Japan that has fractured into three rival nations and descended back into a Warring States period. The series is based on the original manga by Ikka Matsuki. Kazuaki Terasawa is directing the anime at Studio Kafka, with Takahiko Abiru serving as both character designer and chief animation director.

In a near-future Japan, global nuclear war, natural disasters, and tyrannical governance have sparked a revolution, leading to the complete collapse of civilization. The nation has splintered into three factions, plunging into a new Three Kingdoms era defined by a fierce struggle for supremacy. Aoteru Misumi, a humble provincial official, sets his sights on the reunification of Japan, rising through the ranks by leveraging his profound intellect and masterful eloquence. The series features Kensho Ono as Aoteru Misumi, Asami Seto as Saki Higashimachi, Takashi Nagasako as Denki Taira, Jun Fukuyama as Yoshitsune Asama, Kazuhiro Yamaji as Mitsuhide Ryumon, Yuichi Nakamura as Yasuaki Kaku, Taihi Kimura as Fuji III, and Minami Tsuda as Ouko Wajima. Megumi Han serves as the series narrator.
