The TV anime adaptation of *GGWP. ~Young Ladies Don’t Play Fighting Games~* is officially slated to begin broadcasting this July. Accompanying this announcement, a new key visual and additional cast members have been unveiled.
The newly released visual depicts Aya Mitsuki and Mio Yae facing off against one another. It also introduces a fresh lineup of characters, featuring Yuu Inui, Tamaki Ichinose, and the elementary school gamer, Arisa Fujimiya.
Maria Naganawa will provide the voice for Arisa Fujimiya.

Arisa is a prodigious elementary school gamer boasting skills that rival seasoned professionals. She brooks no compromise or leniency when it comes to fighting games, harboring genuine hostility toward those who treat matches as casual fun among friends, such as Aya and Mio. Although she possesses a sharp and often foul tongue, she is a highly capable competitor who approaches her matches with cold, calculating composure in her relentless pursuit of victory.

The anime is based on the original manga by Eri Ejima. Shota Ibata serves as the director, with series composition by Wataru Watari and character design by Mayuko Matsumoto. Kana Hashiguchi is composing the music, Yayoi Tateishi acts as the sound director, and Diomedéa is handling the animation production.
Aya Mitsuki, an ordinary commoner who recently enrolled in a prestigious academy for young ladies, deeply admires Mio Yae—the school’s most revered figure, affectionately known as the “White Lily.”
“I want to radiate that exact same aura of pure elegance!”
However, Aya’s idealized perception shatters one day when she accidentally discovers Mio feverishly playing a fighting game in an empty classroom. To make matters worse, Mio instantly deduces that Aya is a fellow fighting game enthusiast. Playing video games on school grounds is strictly forbidden; nevertheless, the urge to clash overpowers the rules. The curtain rises on the intense, arcade-style secret lives of these supposedly refined young women!
The cast features Ikumi Hasegawa as Aya Mitsuki, Kana Ichinose as Mio Yae, Sayaka Senbongi as Yuu Inui, Shino Shimoji as Tamaki Ichinose, and Maria Naganawa as Arisa Fujimiya.
