MF Ghost Anime Release Date: What We Expect from MF Ghost?

There has been a new official trailer released for the MF Ghost anime. The series, which is based on the manga of the same name by Shuuichi Shigeno, is a follow-up to the groundbreaking and critically acclaimed Initial D. In a previous video from January, the cast was introduced among other significant imagery.

MF Ghost Anime Release Date

On October 2, 2023, at 2:00 a.m. JST, the first episode of MF Ghost will broadcast on Tokyo MX, BS11, and RKB Mainichi Broadcasting. Animax, TV Aichi, Shizuoka Broadcasting System, TV Setouchi, Tochigi TV, and YTV will also air episodes from the series. There will be more streaming options for the series, including Medialink and Crunchyroll.

One of the most anticipated new shows of the Winter season is MF Ghost, a sequel to the hit show Initial D, which will premiere in the first week of October. The story will center on Kanata Katagiri, a promising teenage street racer who was guided by the great Takumi Fujiwara.

Director Tomohito Naka (Initial D Legend) is at the helm of MF Ghost, with scriptwriters Kenichi Yamashita and Akihiko Inari. Naoyuki Onda and Chiyoko Sakamoto are responsible for the character designs. The 3D is being handled by Hiroki Uchida, the sound by Masafumi Mima, and the music by Akio Dobashi.

Jungle Fire, performed by Yu Serizawa and Motsu, serves as the opening theme, while Himika Akaneya’s rendition of Stereo Sunset serves as the closing theme.

Yuma Uchida voices Kanata Katagiri, Ayane Sakura voices Ren Saionji, Daisuke Ono voices Shun Aiba, Hiroshi Kamiya voices Mikhail Beckenbauer, Tomokazu Seki voices Keisuke Takahashi, Osamu Hosoi voices Fumihiro Joyu, and Yasunori Matsumoto voices Wataru Akiyama.

What We Expect from MF Ghost?

The time period of the show is somewhere between the late 2020s and the early 2030s, when autonomous electric vehicles are the norm. Ryosuke’s group, MFG, is devoted to holding street races using conventional internal combustion engines.

The 19-year-old Kanata Katagiri, a Japanese-British youngster, will enter the racing scene with his Toyota 86 and surprise everyone. However, his main ambition is to locate his missing father. Episode 1 of MF Ghost will serve as an introduction to Kanata and the sport of street racing.
