Mushoku Tensei Third Season Key Visual

The third season is scheduled to adapt the story beginning with Volume 13 of the original light novels. The narrative will depict Rudeus facing intense emotional upheaval as new dramas and adventures unfold.

The newly released teaser visual dramatically features Eris, the girl who departed on a journey of training without a word at the end of the first season, vowing to become strong enough to protect Rudeus. She is depicted wielding a sword with a fierce, spirited expression. Eris also appeared in the final cut of the teaser PV released last summer, sparking excitement among fans both in Japan and abroad. All eyes are now on the role she will play in the upcoming season.

In conjunction with the decision to release the new smartphone game Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation – Chronicle of Echoes (abbreviated as Kuroeko) in 2026, a teaser PV, teaser website, and official X (formerly Twitter) account have been launched.

Mushoku Tensei Mobile Game Announcement

To commemorate the game adaptation, a joint “Follow & Repost” campaign is being held in collaboration with the official X account for the TV anime Mushoku Tensei III: Jobless Reincarnation. Participants can enter a lottery to win prizes, including a full 26-volume set of the original novels signed by author Rifujin na Mago no Te, or autograph boards signed by the cast. A total of 16 winners will be selected. The campaign runs from today, the 10th, until 11:59 PM on February 1.

The series is based on the immensely popular novels by Rifujin na Mago no Te, which began serialization on the site “Shosetsuka ni Naro” in 2012 and boast over 17 million copies in circulation. The story follows a 34-year-old unemployed NEET who spends his days immersed in games and the internet. Following a fatal traffic accident, he is reincarnated as a newborn baby in a world of swords and sorcery. Reborn as the boy Rudeus, he utilizes the memories and regrets of his past life to navigate new encounters and trials, creating a grand fantasy epic of a man vowing to “live life in earnest this time.”

The television anime celebrates its fifth anniversary this year. The first season aired in two cours from January to March and October to December 2021. The second season followed, with its first cour airing from July to September 2023, and its second from April to June 2024.
