Episode 2 (“The End of An Era, And —,” overall Episode 161) of the TV anime My Hero Academia Final Season (airs Saturdays at 5:30 p.m. on the Yomiuri TV/Nippon TV network) will broadcast on the 11th. Ahead of the airing, preview stills and a 30-second teaser not shown on TV were released on the 9th.

Based on the smash-hit manga by Kōhei Horikoshi that ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2014 to 2024, the series is set in a world where people with superhuman abilities known as “Quirks” are the norm. It follows Izuku Midoriya (Deku), who strives to become a Hero—someone who protects society and stands against Villains who exploit their Quirks—growing alongside his classmates at the elite U.A. High School. The anime premiered in 2016 and has aired through Season 7; the Final Season marks the series’ eighth.

In Episode 2, the fierce battle continues between All For One (AFO) and “Armored All Might,” clad in gear outfitted with Class 1-A’s Quirk-based equipment and support items. Though All Might fights back with unbreakable resolve against AFO’s relentless onslaught, he’s gradually driven into a corner. Then, an unexpected ally rushes to his side: the “Hero Killer,” Stain. With Stain’s Quirk, “Bloodcurdle,” which immobilizes opponents, and All Might’s secret gambit, can they bring down AFO?
