The Baki series is officially continuing with a brand-new anime, Baki-Dou, set to stream worldwide exclusively on Netflix in 2026. This new chapter introduces none other than the legendary swordsman Miyamoto Musashi as Baki’s next formidable opponent. The anime will once again be produced by TMS Entertainment, and a teaser trailer along with key visual art has already been released.
Based on Keisuke Itagaki’s manga of the same name, which ran in Weekly Shōnen Champion from 2014 to 2018, Baki-Dou picks up after the conclusion of the infamous “strongest father–son battle.” Just when Baki and the other fighters settle into a monotonous daily life, Tokugawa Mitsunari launches a reckless experiment that defies the gods themselves — shattering the calm and pulling the warriors back into chaos.

The teaser video sets the tone with the line: “After the world’s strongest parent–child battle, the men found themselves bored…” — followed by rapid flashes of fighters like Doppo Orochi, Jack Hanma, and Kaoru Hanayama.
Suddenly, a new challenger appears: the resurrected Miyamoto Musashi, Japan’s greatest samurai. His unmatched blend of power and blinding speed threatens to upend the underground fighting scene. What follows is a clash unlike anything seen before — a showdown across time and disciplines between the strongest underground fighters and a legendary swordmaster.
