The hit fantasy series “Soon to Be the World’s Strongest Alchemist?” (original work by Kogitsumaru, published by Alphapolis) is officially getting a second season of its TV anime adaptation! The news was accompanied by a special celebratory illustration from Sasakamatarou, the artist behind the manga adaptation.
Originally broadcast and streamed in January 2025, the anime won fans over with its mix of humor, adventure, and lighthearted isekai twists. Following the positive reception, Season 2 has now been green-lit.

Sasakamatarou’s new artwork features the protagonist Takumi alongside the goddess Norn, radiating a festive atmosphere to commemorate the announcement.
About the Story
Takumi Iruma, a middle-aged office worker, is accidentally swept into a hero summoning ritual in another world. Unable to return home, he is taken under the wing of the goddess Norn, who spoils him with overwhelming blessings and support.
Wishing for a peaceful, non-combat lifestyle, Takumi chooses a humble crafting profession. However, the skill he’s granted—Alchemy—turns out to be absurdly powerful, capable of creating anything from legendary swords to flying ships.
Despite his wish for a quiet life, Takumi finds himself thriving in business and unstoppable in battle. This heartwarming (and occasionally chaotic) tale of an unwillingly overpowered alchemist has captured readers’ hearts, with over 1.7 million copies of the series in circulation and a manga that continues to perform strongly.
