The series born on the online fiction platform “Shōsetsuka ni Narō,” Romeria War Chronicle: “We Defeated the Demon King, but Humanity Still Looked Screwed, So I Organized an Army,” will receive a television anime adaptation in 2026. A teaser visual has been unveiled.

The franchise—spanning the original novels and a manga adaptation—has surpassed 500,000 copies in cumulative circulation.
In the teaser image, protagonist Romeria Al Rei stands surveying the vast expanse of the Girie Gorge, an arresting, panoramic composition that hints at the scale of the “after the war” story to come.
An official website, X (formerly Twitter) account, and YouTube channel have gone live. To celebrate the release of volume 5 of the manga, a follow & repost campaign on X is offering a chance to win a copy signed by manga artist Ryō Ueto. Beginning on the 18th, a second campaign will commemorate the publication of the final volume of the original novel, with signed books by author Ryō Arayama up for grabs.

Romeria War Chronicle Comments

“Romeria War Chronicle is getting a TV anime! Thank you so much. The idea that my own book is becoming an anime still feels unbelievable—so unbelievable that I keep wondering whether this is just some hazy dream or delusion of my underachieving self. But even if it is a dream or a delusion, please don’t wake me. Jokes aside, the anime version has been blessed with a team of talented staff, and I think it’s shaping up beautifully. I hope you’ll all watch it!”

“Congratulations on the anime adaptation! I can’t wait to see how the everyday moments, the serious turns, and the action are all brought to life in the anime. Look forward to Romeria and her companions in full force!”
