With a fresh new key visual and teaser published today, fans of the upcoming fantasy comedy anime Sasaki and Peeps may get a bird’s eye view of the cast before the show’s January 2024 premiere.
It was also revealed that Tomokazu Sugita will be mentoring three additional cast members:
- Miyu Tomita (Karane from “The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, REALLY Love You”) provides the voice of Elsa.
- Pink, portrayed by Dead Mount Death Play’s Misaki actress Inori Minase, is a magical creature.
- In Ya Boy Kongming!, Ryotaro Okiayu (Akutsu) portrayed the role of Kongming.
With series composition by Deko Akao (The Case Study of Vanitas) and character designs by Saori Nakashiki (The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated! ), studio SILVER LINK. is adapting the light novels by Buncololi and Kantoku into an anime titled Sasaki and Peeps, directed by Mirai Minato (Masamune-kun’s Revenge).
The official English translation of the light novels by Yen Press characterizes the series as follows:
Tired and unfulfilled by his dead-end job, Sasaki decides to adopt Peeps, an adorable pet Java sparrow. Peeps, however, is really Piercarlo, a powerful sage from another world! After Peeps bestows Sasaki with magic and the ability to cross worlds, the two decide to export household items for profit in pursuit of a leisurely lifestyle. But when Sasaki’s new magic gets him mixed up in a whole other kind of supernatural struggle back in Japan, will it destroy his chances at realizing the relaxing life of his dreams?
