Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, an anime adaptation of Bryan Lee O’Malley’s comic novels, has had its entire trailer released by Netflix. On November 17, the streaming service will debut the first episode of the series. Check out the sneak peek in the video up top.
The Katayanagi Twins (Kyle and Ken) will be voiced by Julian Cihi, it was announced at a panel at New York Comic Con at the Javits Center by Executive Producers/Writers/Co-Showrunners Bryan Lee O’Malley and BenDavid Grabinski.
After meeting the girl of his desires, Ramona Flowers, Scott Pilgrim learns that he must beat her seven bad exes before he can date her in Scott Pilgrim Takes Off. Scott takes Ramona Flowers, her wicked ex-boyfriends, and his buddies on a mystery new action-packed trip to find love, but this time things get much more tangled.
The voices of the characters in the animated series are provided by actors such as Michael Cera (Scott Pilgrim), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Ramona Flowers), Satya Bhabha (Matthew Patel), Kieran Culkin (Wallace Wells), Chris Evans (Lucas Lee), Anna Kendrick (Stacey Pilgrim), Brie Larson (Envy Adams), Alison Pill (Kim Pine), Aubrey Plaza (Julie Powers),
O’Malley and BenDavid Grabinski, the show’s executive producers and co-showrunners, conceived and developed Scott Pilgrim Takes Off for television. Executive producers include Edgar Wright, Marc Platt, Jared LeBoff, Adam Siegel, Michael Bacall, and Eunyoung Choi. Science SARU, an animation studio, and UCP, a unit of Universal Studio Group, collaborate on Netflix originals.
