Yuri Kitayama is a Japanese light novel writer who started his career by publishing his works online on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō. He began writing Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles in February 2014 and completed it in October 2020, with ten volumes.

The manga started in July 2017 and is ongoing as of November 2021, with eight volumes published in Japan. The light novel and the second manga have been licensed in North America by J-Novel Club, a digital publishing company focusing on Japanese light novels and manga.
