It has been officially announced that the fourth season of the TV anime That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime will begin broadcasting in April 2026. This extensive fourth season will consist of a total of five cours released in split segments, with the initial run starting in April and continuing for two consecutive cours. A special promotional video has been released to accompany the announcement.
About the Anime: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime
Based on the original works by Taiki Kawakami, Fuse, and Mitz Vah, the series is directed by Atsushi Nakayama, with series composition by Toshizo Nemoto. Character design is provided by Ryoma Ebata and monster design by Takahiro Kishida. The sound director is Jin Aketagawa, with music composed by Hitoshi Fujima (Elements Garden). Animation production is handled by 8bit.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Synopsis
Having defeated Clayman and officially ascended to the rank of Demon Lord, Rimuru participated in Walpurgis (the Banquet of Demon Lords), effectively expanding his dominion to encompass the entire Great Forest of Jura. Anticipating an influx of representatives from various races arriving to pay their respects, Rimuru conceives the idea of holding a “Founding Festival.” This event is designed to serve both as the formal debut of Demon Lord Rimuru and as a means to attract new residents to the nation of Tempest.
Meanwhile, in the Holy Empire of Lubelius—the headquarters of the Luminous sect, which views monsters as hostile enemies—Holy Knight Captain Hinata receives a message from Rimuru. However, the message has been intercepted and altered by an unknown party to appear as a declaration of war. Upon receiving reports that Hinata is marching toward Tempest, Rimuru faces a critical decision. As he strives to realize his ideal of a “Human-Monster Co-prosperity Sphere,” Rimuru must now distinguish true allies from enemies in this impending conflict.
