The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess, Episode 2: Dance with the Hotties at the Ball

Ahead of the TV anime The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess premiering October 15 on TV Tokyo, BS11, and more, the synopsis and scene cuts for Death Flag 2, “A Ballroom Beats the Bon Dance,” have been released.

The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess scene: In a torch‑lit stone corridor with iron-barred cells, a red‑haired young man in a tan jacket, cravat, and diamond‑patterned vest strides forward, jaw set. A sword enters frame from the left hand, while warm orange flames wash the bricks and repeating arches recede into shadow.

To rescue Konoha after she’s carried off by a lecherous beast during a cherry-blossom tea party, Iana throws herself straight into danger. With help from Sol and Ginoford, they pull off the rescue. The relief is short-lived, however: an invitation arrives from the royal capital—to a ball. But that very ball is episode three of her “Black History.” If Konoha dances with the kingdom’s most eligible gentlemen, it will trigger Iana’s death flag!

About the TV anime The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess
Original work: Akiharu Toka; Director: Hiroaki Sakurai; Series Composition: Mitsutaka Hirota; Character Design: Tomoyo Sawada; Sound Director: Yasunori Ebina; Music: Ryuichi Takada (MONACA); Animation Production: Studio DEEN.

The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess key visual: A brown‑haired girl in a flowing red dress with white trim floats diagonally, clutching an open book and a quill, smirking as black feathers spiral around her. Framed vignettes of handsome characters surround her: top left a blue‑uniformed officer in a cap; top right a pink‑haired girl and a red‑haired boy facing romantically amid roses; bottom left a sleek gray‑haired noble with a finger to his lips beside chains and a rose; bottom right a blond aristocrat in pale blue with a ribboned frame. Background is a rich burgundy with scattered feathers and roses.

Sato Konoha is reborn into the world of the story she wrote—a romance-and-magic adventure—only not as the lovely heroine “Konoha,” but as the notorious villainess Iana Magnolia. Doomed to relive the cringey “black history” of her own making, what fate awaits Iana? Can she protect “Konoha” and still win a peaceful life? A fresh, death-flag-dodging romcom!
