With the beginning of a brand-new arc of its promotional anime series, Super Dragon Ball Heroes launched its first entirely computer-generated animated episode! Longer than anticipated, Super Dragon Ball Heroes’ promotional animation series has been running effectively.
The promotional animation has been going since it first began a few years ago with its translation of the Prison Planet storyline from the original arcade games worldwide. The most recent arc from the game it will be playing next, Meteor Mission, is now taking on a whole new dimension.
The circumstances of the release of Super Dragon Ball Heroes: Meteor Mission are very different from those of the other promotional anime thus far.
It’s the first full-CG animated release for the series, and the first one to be marketed as a “promotional movie” as opposed to the “promotional anime” the episodes have previously been labeled as (although it hasn’t yet been confirmed if this CG animated direction will be all that comes in the future). Future of Super Dragon Ball Heroes?
Super Dragon Ball Heroes: Meteor Mission Episode 1 is the first brand-new episode of the promotional animation series’ next main arc, although the crew behind the 2D anime release will soon take a break.
Although the length of this promotional series break has not yet been determined, the Dragon Ball franchise is launching a brand-new wave of anime in honor of the 40th anniversary of the publication of Akira Toriyama’s original manga in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine.
Akira Toriyama will write the narrative for the brand-new anime Dragon Ball Daima. This new anime, slated for premiere somewhere in the fall of 2024, will have a narrative not found in earlier anime or manga releases.
It’s likely going to be very different from anything fans could ever imagine when it eventually hits, despite teasing that Goku and the other Z-Fighters would be changing into children for the occasion.
