Forest of Piano follows a teenage pianist called Kai Ichinose as he explores the musical world while practicing in the woods. His remarkable abilities cross paths with those of Shuhei Amamiya, a bullied youngster who also finds solace in music. The strength of music and their developing relationship are eloquently explored in this anime.
Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans
Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans, which is set on a terraformed Mars, explores heavy topics including bribery, child soldiers, slavery, and neocolonialism. Orphaned children form their own security agency and take on corrupt grownups in this animated series. Fans of the robot giant Gundam will like the deep storyline of this mecha anime.
