The manga Uma Musume Cinderella Gray (also known as Singre) published its final chapter in the combined 4th and 5th issue of Weekly Young Jump (Shueisha), released on the 25th. This brings the curtain down on a serialization history spanning five and a half years since its launch in June 2020.

Uma Musume Cinderella Gray tells the story of Oguri Cap, the “strongest” Uma Musume. A “youthful running” Cinderella story, it charts the grey-haired girl’s rise from local obscurity to legendary status at the Central, depicting her journey to becoming the “Monster.” The manga has surpassed 8 million copies in circulation. An anime adaptation aired in 2025, with the first cour broadcasting from April to June and the second from October to December.

To commemorate the conclusion, the magazine is running a major special feature. Nine main cast members from the anime appear in photo spreads at both the front and back of the issue. To build excitement for the Singre finale, the cast models costumes from the “Uma Musume Pretty Derby 4th EVENT SPECIAL DREAMERS!! EXTRA STAGE,” as well as Tracen Academy uniforms. In the closing pages, dressed in colorful outfits, each member discusses their thoughts on the series and shares memories of their favorite episodes.

The center color spread features Tomoyo Takayanagi (voice of Oguri Cap) and Naomi Ohzora (voice of Tamamo Cross). A key highlight of this issue is the debut of Tamamo Cross’s racing silks. While the two played fierce rivals in the anime, here they showcase a relaxed, calm atmosphere evocative of a peaceful holiday.
Furthermore, following customary tradition, this issue includes a special appendix: an alternate cover for Volume 1 of the comics, newly illustrated by author Taiyo Kuzumi. The issue also features a poster utilizing the color title page of the final chapter (Chapter 210) and a giveaway campaign offering Instax photos signed by the cast.
Uma Musume is a cross-media franchise that has gained widespread popularity across games, manga, and anime. It reimagines real racehorses—such as Special Week, Silence Suzuka, and Tokai Teio—as character motifs.
The anime’s first season aired from April to June 2018, the second from January to March 2021, and the third from October to December 2023. The game service launched in February 2021, and the series’ first theatrical film was released in May 2024.
