Where to Watch The Eminence in Shadow X Overlord Crossover Anime?

The Eminence in Shadow and Overlord are enjoying the spooky Halloween season with an unexpected anime crossover! Kadokawa has not just a ton of experience bringing Isekai light novels to life through anime projects but has also previously brought these projects together with a full crossover series in Isekai Quartet that ran for a few seasons (and even a movie) of its own.

No new episodes have been announced, but fans have seen how The Eminence in Shadow and Overlord might interact in a new chibi animation that highlights how similar the two series are.

The protagonists of both The Eminence in Shadow and Overlord are incredibly powerful people who were transported to another realm, however, their perspectives on their circumstances could not be more different.

The two have achieved supremacy in their own domains and are surrounded by a group of incredibly formidable fighters. The special anime crossover imagines the humorous outcomes that might occur if Cid Kagenou and Ains Ooal Gown switched bodies and had to pretend to be one other. Where to Watch The Eminence in Shadow X Overlord?

Season 4 of Overlord ended airing last year, but the show is already developing a film adaptation. There have been no announcements regarding its availability as of this writing, however, you can watch all four seasons of the anime on Crunchyroll right now.

The Eminence in Shadow’s second season has begun broadcasting new episodes this Fall, and both seasons are available to view in their entirety exclusively on HIDIVE.

They hint The Eminence in Shadow as such, “Even in his prior existence, Cid’s dream wasn’t to become a protagonist or a final boss. He’d rather stay out of the spotlight as a bit player until it’s his cue to show off his genius skills (or at least play one).

And now that he’s been reincarnated into another planet, he’s eager to arrange the right circumstances to live out his goals to the fullest. Armed with his vivid imagination, Cid playfully recruits people to his group and conjures up a complete tale about a terrible cult that they need to take down. It just so happens that his made-up enemies are the genuine deal, and nobody except him is aware of this.
