Zombieland Saga: Yumeginga Paradise Movie Reveals New Stills Featuring Kotaro Tatsumi’s Hilarious Expressions and Antics

Ahead of the nationwide theatrical release on October 24, new stills spotlighting the enigmatic idol producer Kotaro Tatsumi have been revealed for the feature film Zombieland Saga: Yumeginga Paradise.

Kotaro Tatsumi is the mysterious mastermind who resurrected seven supposedly “legendary” girls as zombies to form Franchouchou, a hometown zombie idol group from Saga Prefecture, all to save Saga itself. He’s a man of many mysteries, known for his signature look: sunglasses at all times, a suit jacket worn like a cape, and a piece of dried squid tucked into his breast pocket.

While he usually comes off as wild and slapdash, behind the scenes he’s relentlessly competent—handling negotiations with local businesses and chambers of commerce, securing tie-ins, showing off Hollywood-grade special-effects makeup skills, and even taking on songwriting and live production. He’s a true jack-of-all-trades.

The newly released stills offer a full-on blast of Kotaro’s off-the-wall energy: double-chin mugging that would put top YouTubers to shame; a hyperactive getup with a blond wig, novelty party glasses, and a pistol-shaped megaphone; and a whole lineup of moments that practically beg for a punchline.

There’s more: a shot of him freezing up on a TV appearance as Franchouchou’s producer—sweating bullets from sheer nerves—and even a jaw-dropping image of him skydiving with flares in both hands. If the photos are any indication, the movie pushes his off-the-rails mayhem past the limit.

Chaotic and slapdash yet somehow impossible to hate—the “maverick producer” is one you won’t be able to look away from.
