Kyoto Animation’s TV Anime “20th Century Electricity Catalog” Set for 2026; Stars Yuma Uchida and Sora Amamiya.

Kyoto Animation’s latest work, the TV anime “20th Century Electricity Catalog: Eureka Evrika,” is set to broadcast in 2026. Set in Kyoto during the early 20th century—a world where only steam power has advanced—the series is a fantastical adventure that begins with the meeting of two youths: a boy, lost in despair after the death of his brother, with whom he dreamed of an “age of electricity,” and a devout girl, who lives bearing admiration and regret for her late mother.

This is a story from a slightly different past. Kyoto, in the early 20th century, a history that evolved differently from our own. In a world where only steam power developed, the city was shrouded in smoke. A boy, who lost the brother with whom he dreamed of an “age of electricity,” now lives consumed by doubt. A girl, living devoutly, hiding dreams for her future and regrets for her late mother within her heart. The boy and girl meet, drawn together by the secrets of the “20th Century Electricity Catalog”—the book that holds their dreams. Overcome who you are now, and carve open the dream you once saw! A distrustful boy who loves tinkering with machines and inventing. He vowed to create an “age of electricity” with his admired older brother, sketching their dreams in the “20th Century Electricity Catalog.” However, when both his brother and the catalog vanished, he gave up on his dream, and his timid personality has only intensified.

The second daughter of the long-established Momokawa Sake Brewery in Fushimi, Kyoto. She is clumsy and lacks self-confidence, but she is an honest girl adept at believing in others. She secretly dreams of becoming a tōji (master brewer) who can make sake just like her late mother did.
