A Pragmatic Marriage Turned Sweet Romance
Based on the original light novel by Natsu Mizuno and Kei Misawa, the story follows Elsa, a destitute but relentlessly optimistic fallen noblewoman. Her life changes when she crosses paths with Julius, an elite yet socially awkward and cynical future duke. Driven purely by aligned political and financial interests, the two agree to a strict contract marriage on the very day they meet.
However, Julius’s initial declaration of a loveless arrangement quickly unravels into unexpected dotage. It shares the same charming aristocratic flavor that fans love in other recent noble romance and fiancé anime adaptations, promising a mix of heartwarming comedy and sweet relationship development.
Newly Announced Cast and Production Staff
Joining the star-studded ensemble are two industry veterans. Hibiku Yamamura has been cast as Rebecca Liikkonen, while Junya Enoki will be lending his voice to Hannes Jukarainen. The anime is officially scheduled for a July premiere on the TV Asahi and BS Asahi networks.
The series is being co-produced by animation studios Zero-G and Glass, with Hitoyuki Matsui sitting in the director’s chair. Tomoko Konparu is handling the series composition, ensuring the romantic pacing hits all the right beats, while Yuko Yahiro provides the character designs.
